BANG DEN is the video, RB$GP is the album, and it lands August 7. Purrp started Raider Klan in Miami Gardens in 2008, ran Denzel Curry, Xavier Wulf, Chris Travis, Pouya and Yung Simmie through it, coined phonk, and then watched the genre circle the planet on other people's uploads while the Klan folded in 2015. Robb Bank$ is Shaggy's son, estranged, out of Broward, and the one alumnus who never stopped making the sound. Two men from the same collapsed scene, one of whom wrote the template that half a streaming category now runs on. Phonk sells more smoothly when the man who named it stays a rumor, and nobody currently billing against it has any reason to correct that. He made a record instead.
