Ranti Bam — Sacred Groves

Ranti Bam — Sacred Groves
Bam makes the Ifas by pressing wet clay against her own body until the vessel collapses, cracks and folds — the mark of a person, not a technique. First solo institutional show, her largest work to date, shown with a new film shot at Ṣun-Ọsogbo, the Yoruba grove for the goddess Osun. The gap is that this is a fully-formed practice arriving with almost no noise around it: Peckham, free entry, open until 23 Aug, and the Venice invitation already in hand.
