Peterson Kamwathi — Tabula Rasa

Peterson Kamwathi — Tabula Rasa
His first institutional solo in Nairobi, and he spends it on the crowd as a machine — the queue, the gathering, the silhouette repeated until the individual dissolves and power shows its choreography. <span class="a">'Tabula rasa'</span> is the colonial lie he draws against: no slate was ever blank. Drawing, collage, wall-work; no spectacle, all pressure. On view at NCAI through August — loud nowhere, right anyway.
