Nina Protocol — The SoundCloud Migration

Nina Protocol — The SoundCloud Migration
Nina said it would be profitable if it ever reached ten percent of Bandcamp's daily volume. Components ran the arithmetic in July: fifty thousand dollars spent on Nina across its entire five-year life, against a hundred and fifty-one million on Bandcamp in 2025 alone. The platform went dark on July 15; SoundCloud announced the acquisition on July 22, terms undisclosed. Read what actually changed hands. Not the Solana marketplace, not the Arweave storage, not the team: the editorial archive and the genre map, which is to say the writing. Nina's most valuable product turned out to be its criticism, and it took a shutdown and a sale to establish that. Migrating artists get a free subscription until December.
