Music Seen — Bandcamp Daily

Music Seen — Bandcamp Daily
A new bimonthly column by Elle Carroll, addressed to the overlap between Bandcamp and Letterboxd — a readership that barely gets written for. Issue one runs on Marihiko Hara, who scored Kokuho and put a viola da gamba over the kabuki sequences instead of under them, then defended it: the film is about an artist, not about kabuki. Buried in it is the best thing on the page — Stockhausen answering a CD-R handed over in an autograph line with a letter warning him off sixths and kitsch, and a flat prediction that he would end up scoring films.
