Iman Europe — Ego Death (The Official Short Film)

Iman Europe has a song with 1.6 million Spotify plays. She spent the film budget on one with 26,634. Ego Death is track five on Chrysalis, out September 19, 2025 on Good Soil Productions: fifteen tracks, every one of them built with Kaelin Ellis, which makes it a record rather than a folder of singles. The short film went up on her YouTube in the last week of July; Stanisland wrote it up on the 29th. Her own framing is a question about who wins between the ego and the self, and the film answers it rather than decorating the track. Nothing in the streaming math recommends any of this, and she knows that math better than most: she ran artist relations at Sound.xyz before going independent. Doing it anyway is the argument that an album is a body of work, not a container for the one song that traveled. Come back in November and see whether the film moved the number.
