Takahide Higuchi has been making Nagoya sound like a rest stop at 3am for a decade; this one picks up the thread from the 2023 EP uchigawa tankentai and lands on the other side of it — the title means light getting into a hard place. Fourteen tracks built from footwork, ghetto house and baile funk abstracted until only the skeleton logic survives, with his own looped voice on top singing children’s songs and playground rhymes and whatever he was thinking. Sounds exactly like a brain with 500 tabs open, and then hard reclining arrives and just lets you sit down. Local, specific, nobody’s crossover.
