Colectivo Casa Amarela

Madeira sits closer to Morocco than to Lisbon, and for two decades the island's experimental calendar ran on a single festival programmed mostly for visitors. Colectivo Casa Amarela started in 2015 because the island's own musicians could not get on it. Past forty releases now, mostly cassettes, some in plaster shells sculpted by Mafalda Melim, who runs the label from Lisbon with Bruno Aires. Vomir's first pressing sold out in an hour.
