A misted bathroom mirror, UV-printed, that only completes itself once you stand in front of it. That is Laila Majid's Steam 07, 2026, and it hangs in Gallery 6 at Al Mureijah Square until September 20 beside Inaam Zafar's Mourners. Majid works out of London and shows with Niru Ratnam; Zafar works out of Lahore and shows with Gray Noise. Raja'a Khalid, an assistant curator, put the two of them in one room and let the proximity carry the argument: latex partitions and cat-toy tinsel on one wall, figuration dissolving into grief on the other. Sharjah commissioned Zafar's pieces rather than borrowing them, and entry costs nothing. That ordering matters.
